Sundar Bharadwaj

 CEO & Co-Founder

Business leader with 28 years of global experience, working at Vodafone Group, Accenture, Infosys, Afiniti and FirstWave Cloud. Prior to Terragrn, Sundar grew Firstwave Cloud and Afiniti (an AI Unicorn) into multi-million-dollar businesses in the EMEA region with particular focus on African markets. During his tenure at Vodafone, Sundar led the customer operations unit and served as commercial director for the £1.7 billion turnover Vodafone Business in the UK. At Accenture, Sundar led complex commercial transactions and business transformations for clients. Sundar has a graduate degree in Engineering, an MBA from the London Business School, and a certificate in Corporate Governance from The Wharton School.

Roy Masamba

CHRO & Co-Founder  

Roy brings over 25 years of international Human Resources leadership experience from his time at Vodafone Group, Airtel, Naspers/ Multichoice Group, and British American Tobacco. Roy has built solid experience in business start-ups and is an effective transformation leader with a history of building HR functions from the ground up and effectively consolidating teams from different regions. Roy has a graduate degree in Engineering from Zimbabwe, an MBA from the Cranfield University, and participated in the Executive Leadership programme at the London Business School. 

Mandla Ndlovu

Country Lead, South Africa

Mandla is an accomplished senior executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in multiple industries and geographies. Mandla is experienced in strategic planning, business development, organizational design and change management having worked for Unilever, Mondelez, Monsanto and Celtel Africa. Mandla has lived and worked in the UK, Netherlands, Kenya and South Africa. Mandla holds a graduate degree in Public Administration from the University of Durban and a diploma in Management from the Henley Business School. Mandla has also successfully completed executive development programs from the Kellogg Business School and School of Business Leadership in South Africa (UNISA).

Krishnakumar Raman

Director & Co-Founder

KK has 40 years of experience in leading capital-intensive projects and start-ups. Early in his career, KK spent over a decade at ICICI (India) in development finance where he was instrumental in setting up and operating a $ 750 million line of credit from IBRD (World Bank). KK founded a publishing start-up and piloted an MBO with a successful exit. Over the last 5 years, KK has conducted extensive research on the innovative concept of TERRAGRN. KK has a graduate degree and a master’s degree in Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

Wanja Gikonyo

Corporate Affairs Director 

Wanja brings over 20 years of rich business experiences having worked in multiple countries in Africa and across multiple industry sectors. Over the last 10 years, Wanja has held critical leadership positions, as Country General Manager, in Kenya for reputed technology and gaming companies such as Mobitalk, Betsson Group, Integrat, and Betway Kenya. Wanja is an inspirational leader and role model for an upcoming generation of women entrepreneurs and working mothers. She holds a graduate degree from James Madison University (USA) and an MBA in International Finance from the University of Maryland (USA). 

Johan Van Zyl 

Lead Agronomist

Johan brings over ten years of experience in bamboo farming in South Africa for own venture and for a multinational. Johan presided over the operations of one of the largest private sector Bamboo plantations in South Africa, including land selection, sapling imports, planting and growing, mobilisation and training of the local farming resources. Johan is a trained Botanist and has several years of work experience in hydrogeological assessments. In his spare time Johan provides consultation on bamboo farming and plantlet supply and runs his own bamboo nursery out of Pretoria. 

Mogoi Ayienda 

Head of Social and Digital Communications  

Mogoi is an astute digiphile with years of experience in digital strategy, content creation and marketing across multiple verticals within the gaming, FMCG and Health Industries. Previously, Mogoi was the Marketing lead for Checkups Medical Hub in Kenya, Strategy manager at Suss Digital Africa Ltd and as a Social and Digital Media lead for Betsson Group as well as Customer Service Lead at SportPesa. With an educational background in BSc Forestry, Mogoi’s penchant for nature is unquestionable. She is also a holder of a Post graduate diploma in Public Relations. Mogoi also loves attending a well curated quiz night. Better still, she enjoys hosting them as a way of sharing knowledge.

Sharul Jain


Finance leader with 20 years of global experience, across industries like IT, Real estate, Consumer Products, Engineering and Consulting. Sharul has worked for Wipro in both its global IT operations, where he led the treasury front office and thereafter was CFO for Wipro in Canada, as well as its Global Consumer and Engineering Business where he was General Manager for Corporate Finance setting up and overseeing the Treasury, FP&A, Risk Management and M&A function. Sharul also led India Corporate & Project finance teams for Tishman Speyer, a leading owner, developer, operator, and fund manager of first-class real estate around the world. Sharul represents Driti Advisor an advisory firm based in Bangalore. Sharul is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has completed an online MBA from London Executive Education Academy.

Suresh is currently Chairman (Non-Exec) of Honeywell Automation India Limited, and on the Boards of Wipro Enterprises and Wipro GE Healthcare Private Limited. Suresh was formerly CFO of Wipro Ltd and part of Wipro’s amazing growth journey over 35 years from a $7 million turnover to a $7 billion turnover business when he left in 2015. Suresh was instrumental in the Wipro’s listing at the NYSE, as well as its inorganic growth plans. Suresh is a regular speaker and participant at various forums including NYSE’s CFO Round Tables on Corporate Governance & Controllership.

CEO of auctusESG and a senior business leader with 28 years of diverse global experience in Banking, Technology & FMCG, with particular focus on Climate Change, Sustainable Finance, ESG Risk Management and Public Policy. Namita held speaker at global platforms such as UN General
Assembly and senior management roles at Yes Bank, Microsoft, Marico and CII. Namita is a prominent G20. Held Chair positions at UN NCFA and UNGC. Named as “Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen” by CSRWorks International.

Nonhlanhla Buthelezi-Onverwacht 

Nonhlanhla is the Director & CEO, Shamwari ConsultancyDirector, Umthawalo Logistics (Pty) Ltd.Director, Shamwari Security, and Managing Director, Perfect Foundation (NPO). 

Nonhlanhla has a career spanning over 20 years, working in Banking and Broadcasting sectors in South Africa and the rest of the African continent. Nonhlanhla is a rural development strategist who initiates public, private and community partnerships to deliver progress in economically disempowered communities. Nonhlanhla also specialises in the implementation of South Africa’s forestry master plan, under the remit of the Forestry regulatory environment. Nonhlanhla has an MBA from Henley Business Africa and an LLM and a master’s degree in international commercial law from The Salford University. 

Pierre Rousseau

Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Nomad Plastic Ltd.

Pierre is a highly accomplished business leader and globally renowned sustainability champion with over three decades of experience across the financial services sector. Prior to his recent retirement from the finance industry, Pierre spent the last 16 years at BNP Paribas, across Asia and Europe, holding various senior executive roles including Head of Global Markets and Financial Institutions for the APAC region and an 8-year stint as the CEO of their Securities division for Asia. Pierre is credited within the bank for developing the first set of sustainable blended finance transactions for nature-based projects nearly 5 years back.

Pierre is now an advisor to several large corporations as well as non-profit organizations. He is a member of the Blended Finance Taskforce and the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group. Pierre is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Nomad Plastic Ltd.

Michael Ikpoki 

Michael is an accomplished multinational business executive and leader with proven experience in successfully managing and growing significant businesses in the largest economies in Africa. Michael was previously the CEO of MTN Ghana and MTN Nigeria. A lawyer by training, Michael has over 25 years regulatory, commercial, operational and leadership experience in Africa. Specific Operational Industry experiences include leadership roles in Regulatory Management, Commercial Operations & Management, General Business Management, Strategic/C-Level & Country Management. Michael is an Independent Non-Executive Director at Unilever Nigeria PLC. Michael also sits on several Advisory Boards overseeing exciting new projects in Africa. Michael is a guest speaker/facilitator to Senior leadership/CEO programs in Africa Leadership University and the Lagos Business School. 

Jennifer Sutherland-Miller

Jennifer is the CEO and Co-Founder of Omnis Education, an organization that has the mission to provide world-class education to everyone. Jennifer has more than 20 years of experience helping people create world-class educations outside the four walls of a classroom, in more than 50 countries on six continents. Sunil Prashara

Until recently Sunil served as the President & CEO of Project Management Institute, the world’s largest professional institution. He led the 50-year-old organization through a massive revamp and expansion resulting in a revitalized, vibrant organization, rebranded, more global and with a broader product portfolio. Sunil is also a globally recognized practitioner and thought leader on new and future ways of working with deep organizational transformation expertise.

Sunil has featured regularly in the Economist, The Financial Times, Fast Company, the United Nations Global Compact. The CEO Publication featured Sunil on their magazine cover and recognized Sunil as one of the Top 20 Dynamic CEOs of 2020 in the UK. Under his leadership, PMI also received recognition as one of the “Top 100 Associations That Will Save The World” by the American Society of Association Executives. During his tenure at PMI, Sunil also served on the global advisory board of the Peter Drucker Forum.

Born in Kenya and residing in the UK, Sunil is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant and graduate of the University of London. Sunil is currently attending the Sloan Fellows Masters at the London Business School.

Stefan Langkamp

Stefan is currently a member of the IACD eV, an angel network in Germany and also a partner at GreenRock KG.

Stefan is an experienced executive with 37 years of experience working in Europe, the Americas, and Asia regions. Stefan was previously President and COO of Afiniti Inc., a US-based unicorn developing AI software for the contact center industry. Prior to Afiniti, Stefan was the Group Commercial Operations Director for Vodafone Group delivering one of the largest business transformation initiatives in the Telecommunications sector. Earlier in his tenure at Vodafone Group, Stefan led a billion-dollar infrastructure start-up Indus Towers (JV between Vodafone Group, Airtel, and Idea Cellular) in India as its first CEO in 2006. Indus Towers is the second-largest mobile towers business in the world today.

Prior to Vodafone, Stefan was a transformational CIO at Siemens ICN. Earlier in his career Stefan was a banker at Dresdner Group, living and working in South-East Asia and China.
